Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation President Lucy Morillo announced the appointment of Teresita Gomez-Urtiaga as Director of Event Management and Community Development.

Gomez-Urtiaga has held many successful positions both in New York and Florida. At Florida Power & Light Company, she served as liaison between the Corporate Communications and Marketing Departments. As Director of Corporate and Community Relations at Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida, Gomez-Urtiaga raised major gifts and managed recruiting, promotional and educational events for the private university. Most recently, she worked as principal of The Gomez Group and was vice president and managing director of The Catevo Group.
